The
only part of design that is relevant to a workflow but is still equally
as important is making sure your aware of the final result. Be aware of
the final size of the images before you scan them in so you have enough
resolution to print, if your using pantone colours in your layouts try to
use the ones that will reproduce the best in four colour. Make sure you
happy with all the automatic trapping that your application gives your file,
remember that illustrator applications dont offer give spread or coke
and everything will be knocked out. Final dont work in applications
that nobody can output film or plates from, Word is a word processing application,
publisher is a freebie and is only any good for laser printers, Coreldraw
is very user friendly but isnt the easiest application to output from.
The main software packages to use are Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand and
QuarkXpress. |
